READ: Ephesians 3:5-7
Ephesians 3:5-7 (KJV)
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6 That the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

KEY THOUGHT:
You wouldn’t purchase a gift for yourself… the normal way gifts are given is by purchasing a gift for someone else. Then, when that person receives the gift, it is something that is usually unexpected but desirable. In the same way, God gives you a gift by grace—His unmerited favor to you. That means you don’t deserve the gift, but God went to great expense to purchase it. That gift is salvation—becoming a member of His family. The cost was God’s only Son—Jesus Christ. He’s granted that to you. Have you received it?
CONSIDER:
- What must you do to take full advantage of a gift?
- How do you receive the gift of salvation that God purchased for you?
- Why is it difficult sometimes for people to receive God’s gift, even though they may desire it?
APPLICATION:
Help share the gift God’s granted through His Son, Jesus Christ, by telling others about the God’s grace and the gospel.
