READ: Titus 1:1-4
Titus 1:1-4 (KJV)
1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

KEY THOUGHT:
Sometimes it’s easy to think we deserve more than we have or that we have made it to the top of the ladder. It certainly would make sense if the apostle Paul felt that way. After all, he accomplished incredible things for the cause of Christ. But, he never sought glory. In his humility, he always considered himself a servant to Christ – owned by Christ and compelled to do His will at any cost. Like Paul, it’s your duty to be humble as a servant for Christ, recognizing all that He has done and will do for you.
CONSIDER:
- Why is it important for you to stay humble as a Christian?
- Where should glory go for anything you accomplish?
- What can you do to help ensure that Christ is lifted up even as you perform good works for Him?
APPLICATION:
Purpose to please Christ through your humble service to Him!
