Ephesians 2:12-13 (KJV)
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

KEY THOUGHT:
Not only do you have a new life in Christ and a new residence with Christ, you also have a new citizenship in God’s Kingdom. Rather than being an alien, you have been made part of God’s workmanship. He brings you out of the darkness and into a lasting light to be with Him for all time. He also gives you talents and gifts to do good works to help others and to spread the Gospel.
CONSIDER:
- Why is citizenship important?
- A person is usually born into citizenship. What kind of birth gives you citizenship in God’s Kingdom?
- How do your works prove that you are part of God’s workmanship
APPLICATION:
Preforming good works is an important part of good citizenship in the Kingdom of God.
