READ: 1 Peter 2:7-10
1 Peter 2:7-10 (KJV)
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

KEY THOUGHT:
How did you come to believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior? Did you hear a sermon? Did a friend tell you about the gospel? No matter how you came to Jesus Christ, you can be assured that you were drawn to Him and chosen to be one of His own. You can be sure of this because when you trusted in Christ as your Savior, He changed you. You were called out of the spiritual darkness of your sin into His marvelous light and to the knowledge of His Word. You were once lost, but you are now found. You are now a child of God by His mercy and grace!
CONSIDER:
- What led you to become a Christian?
- What assures you that Jesus Christ has saved you from your sin?
- If you were asked to testify for yourself as a Christian, what proof would you present?
- What does God’s mercy and grace mean to you?
APPLICATION:
Live the change that God has brought to you through Jesus Christ!
