Walk in Wisdom

Walk in Wisdom

READ: Ephesians 5:13-17

Ephesians 5:13-17 (KJV)
13  But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14  Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15  See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16  Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

KEY THOUGHT:

Without light, it’s virtually impossible to see. Darkness makes it easy to ignore hazards and to fall asleep rather than to watch for danger. Walking in darkness leads to poor choices, wrong turns, and wasted time. God desires for you to walk in the light of Jesus Christ and gain wisdom to make good choices, make the right turns and spend your time wisely doing His will.

CONSIDER:

  1. Is it easier to sin in the darkness or the light? Why?
  2. How does light help you make good choices and spend your time wisely?
  3. Describe how the light of Christ has given you wisdom.

APPLICATION:

Make good choices as you walk by walking in the wisdom of Jesus Christ.
